Anelia Shaheed is a Florida Bar-admitted attorney (2013) with over 10 years of experience advising providers on managed care, insurance reimbursement, healthcare regulation and compliance, risk management, and operational challenges affecting provider revenue. She earned her LL.B. from the University of London (2007) and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, graduating cum laude (2012). During law school, she was active in Moot Court and presented at the International Caribbean Court of Justice. She is a member of the American Bar Association and the National Health Lawyers Association.
Ms. Shaheed spent 10 years with the Law Office of Julie W. Allison, P.A., progressing from associate to partner and then senior partner before launching her own firm. She also gained extensive operational insight through seven years with a nationally recognized health billing company, where she rose to Chief Operating Officer and later served as General Counsel—experience that informs her practical approach to audits, medical necessity criteria, and reimbursement systems.
Ms. Shaheed has negotiated and resolved disputes with major payors, including Cigna, Humana, and Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and advises on licensing and accreditation standards, payor requirements for reimbursement, transactions and M&A, contract and finance negotiations, and employment-related issues for healthcare providers. She also has experience in government lobbying and statutory interpretation related to healthcare licensure and treatment services.

Gigi Karina is an analytical, detail-oriented professional with over 10 years of experience spanning legal support, compliance, medical accounts, and office administration. Throughout her career, she has built a reputation as a results-driven and versatile team player known for her strong work ethic, sound judgment, and commitment to excellent client relations.
Gigi's legal experience is extensive, encompassing personal injury pre-litigation and litigation, bodily injury, property damage, workers' compensation, immigration, family, and probate matters. She has managed high-volume caseloads, prepared PIP and liability suits, drafted legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence, coordinated depositions, hearings, and mediations, and negotiated settlements with insurance adjusters. Her command of legal case management tools and e-filing systems, including TimeMatters and the Florida Courts E-Filing Portal, complements her hands-on litigation support skills.
In the medical accounts and billing arena, Gigi has served as a Team Lead and Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist, handling PIP collections, analyzing EOBs, investigating claim denials, and preparing accounts for suit review. She brings deep familiarity with medical records coordination, credentialing, insurance verification, coding and billing, and account reconciliation.
Gigi also holds valuable compliance expertise from her work in Financial Crime Compliance Operations, where she conducted customer due diligence, screened Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs), supported anti-money laundering (AML) programs, and prepared analytical reports.
